I really like the Boxee TV conception it just misses in a few areas:
1. Playback from the cloud is not the best, I get a lot of buffering problems and I have a 50Mb/25Mb connection, also the playback qualtiy while good is no where near Hi-Def.
2. Fast Forwarding in the DVR is painful, they need a skip function that advance 30 secs forward, it also needs to resume faster after you fast forward it can take 10 secs for the playback to resume.
3. SCREEN SAVER!!! when I pause playback from the DVR there is no screen saver, my plasma gets burn in.
4. Buffering during live TV I have gotten use to being able to pause and rewind live tv that would be an awesome feature.
5. The ability to begin playing a program before the recording has finished. I really like starting a recording and begining to watch it before it has finished so that I can skip throgh commercials.
All and all a good product but not ready to compete with TIVO, however, with a few tweaks it could be great and a real game changer for the market
